Local processing

PDF and logo processing runs in the browser using pdf-lib.

No account required

The app does not require accounts or collect personal data by itself.

Production note

Update this page if you add analytics, cloud upload, storage, or external APIs.

1. Overview

Markiva is a PDF watermarking tool for adding text, logo, opacity, position, and document number to PDFs.

By default, PDF generation happens locally in the browser and the exported PDF is downloaded to your device.

2. Local Data

The app may store small preferences in browser local storage, including watermark settings and PWA install prompt dismissal.

These values remain on the user device until browser storage is cleared.

3. Technical Data

Hosting providers may process standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamps for security, troubleshooting, and operation.

4. PDF Limitations

Because watermarking runs in the browser, very large PDFs can be limited by available device memory and browser performance.

Encrypted, password-protected, or corrupt PDFs may fail to open or export until they are unlocked, repaired, or saved as a compatible PDF.

5. Third Parties

This app does not include analytics, payment, or authentication providers by default. If you add third-party services, document them here.

6. Security

Use reasonable security practices for your final application, especially when adding user accounts, file uploads, databases, or external integrations.

7. Changes

Update this policy whenever your application changes how it stores, processes, or shares data.
